ASL Tutoring

The purpose of ASL tutoring/instruction is to help build your ASL conversational skills. This involves building a strong foundation in ASL by learning ASL grammar structures, expressive and receptive skills, and Deaf culture norms. Learning from a deaf person who is a fluent, native signer is the best and appropriate & respectful way to learn the language of the Deaf community. Private tutoring and basic/advanced six-week classes (up to 15 participants) are provided. This service is non-credit; however, if you wish to further pursue your ASL studies for credit, references to colleges/universities that offer Deaf Studies or ASL interpreting programs can be provided upon request. With ASL With Hart, you are guaranteed an authentic experience in learning ASL.

Elizabeth Luszczyk, Student

Jennifer was my first ASL Teacher. When I took ASL 1, I knew 0 ASL. Jennifer was patient, and explained everything. I was able to pick up the language quickly.
